Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about evidence you commissioned specifically because a payer would need it. How did you know it was needed?

What they are checking: Evidence-based medicine used for access rather than for publication.

You lead a team who produce core payer materials. How do you tell a good insight from a restatement of the clinical data?

What they are checking: Quality bar for payer insight, which is the team's actual output.

This is a director role in Mettawa reporting to the vice president for neuroscience access, with direct reports and a portfolio spanning marketed and pipeline assets. What do you want to know about the team size and how the split between Parkinson's and psychiatry actually works?

What they are checking: Whether they clarify the real scope and structure before accepting.

What would you do

A device-delivered therapy and an oral therapy in the same portfolio may compete for the same patients with payers. How do you handle that?

What they are checking: Portfolio conflict, which is real given the assets this role names.

How do you keep the payer value story consistent with the brand story when the two audiences want different things?

What they are checking: The alignment this posting explicitly requires between the two stories.

Walk me through how you would prepare an affiliate market that disagrees with the global strategy.

What they are checking: Getting adoption from local teams who have their own payer realities.

About the work

This role owns global access strategy for Parkinson's disease and psychosis assets. Walk me through how you build an integrated access strategy for an asset that is not yet approved.

What they are checking: Pre-approval access planning, which is the core deliverable here.

How do you build a payer value story that holds up in markets with very different health technology assessment processes?

What they are checking: Global versus local tension, which is the hardest part of international access.

What competitive access threat would worry you most in psychiatry right now, and how would you prepare for it?

What they are checking: Live competitive awareness in the therapeutic area, not generic strategy.

Depression, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia are all named as pipeline areas here. What is different about making an access case in psychiatry compared with a disease with hard biomarkers?

What they are checking: Understanding of why payer conversations in psychiatry are harder.
