Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

You oversee a team of product people rather than owning one product yourself. How does your job change at that level?

What they are checking: The step from product owner to product leader, which is what this seat is.

Tell me about a product direction you set that turned out to be wrong. How long did it take you to see it?

What they are checking: Willingness to reverse their own strategy.

How do you develop a product owner who is good at requirements but weak at saying no?

What they are checking: Developing the specific skill this discipline lives on.

This sits in the analytics and performance function at Mettawa, posted alongside an Associate Director CRM Product Owner who owns one tool in the same portfolio. Why the leadership seat rather than that one?

What they are checking: That they noticed the pair and are choosing scope deliberately.

What would you do

This role owns the customer relationship management product vision and roadmap for the whole United States commercial organization. How do you build a roadmap when several brands want different things from one platform?

What they are checking: Portfolio-level prioritization rather than feature ordering.

What would you want to know about how field representatives currently use the system before setting any strategy?

What they are checking: Evidence before vision, which most product leaders skip.

A platform decision would improve the experience but break a reporting dependency the commercial organization relies on. How do you decide?

What they are checking: Tradeoff judgment where both sides have real claims.

How do you keep a roadmap credible with senior commercial leaders without simply agreeing to their requests?

What they are checking: Managing upward while holding a product line.

About the work

How do you set a product strategy for a platform in a regulated industry where what can be recorded is constrained?

What they are checking: Whether they build compliance into the strategy rather than treat it as a blocker.

You would be accountable for delivery as well as strategy. How do you tell whether your team is delivering well?

What they are checking: Measurement of a product organization, not just of releases.
