Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a time you consolidated or replaced a commercial platform like a CRM or quoting tool. What went wrong and how did you fix it?

What they are checking: Whether they have led real platform change and learned from the hard parts, not only the launch.

How do you work with IT when your team owns the business vision and they own the delivery?

What they are checking: Whether they can partner with Digital Technology Solutions as equals instead of creating friction over ownership.

You lead six people across a global team. How do you build a team that works well across time zones and regions?

What they are checking: Whether they can lead a distributed team with clear direction and real development for each person.

Tell me about a time you had to tell senior leaders that a platform investment was not delivering.

What they are checking: Whether they report honestly to leadership and change course when the evidence calls for it.

What would you do

You would set the vision for our commercial platform portfolio. How would you decide what that portfolio should look like three years from now?

What they are checking: Whether they start from customer and seller needs and business strategy rather than from a favorite technology.

Sales, marketing, customer service and supply chain all want different features first. How do you prioritize?

What they are checking: Whether they can run a fair, transparent prioritization process across powerful stakeholders with competing goals.

A regional business has built its own workaround tool and refuses to move to the global platform. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they can balance global standards with legitimate local needs and earn adoption instead of forcing it.

About the work

How would you measure whether our commercial platforms are actually helping teams serve customers and grow?

What they are checking: Whether they tie platform success to adoption and business outcomes rather than go-live dates.

How do you see AI changing commercial platforms for a B2B ingredients company over the next few years?

What they are checking: Whether they have a practical, grounded view of where AI helps sellers and customers in a technical B2B sale.

How do you design platforms that sellers actually want to use, rather than ones they fill in because they have to?

What they are checking: Whether they put user experience and workflow fit at the center of commercial capability design.
