Likely interview questions for this role

Tell me about an engagement where you had to escalate something. What made you raise it?

What they are checking: The judgment about escalation this posting explicitly asks for.

Describe how you keep a client lead informed on an engagement that is going slowly.

What they are checking: Status communication when the news is not good.

What they are checking: Self-placement against a sibling posting whose body largely matches.

The education section of this posting asks for someone currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, which reads more like an internship requirement than a consultant one. Where are you in your education, and what level is this role really pitched at?

What they are checking: Whether they raise a clear mismatch between the title and the stated requirement.

What would you do

A client wants data collected quickly and the fastest method would compromise the evidence. What do you tell them?

What they are checking: Holding a forensic standard against a client deadline.

How do you decide what to collect when collecting everything is not practical?

What they are checking: Scoping a collection, which is a judgment call with consequences.

How do you work on several engagements at once without letting the quality slip on any of them?

What they are checking: The multiple concurrent engagements this posting describes.

About the work

Walk me through how you would assess and collect data from a source in a way that would survive challenge.

What they are checking: Defensible collection method, which is the heart of this role.

What does supporting forensic lab operations involve, and what makes a lab run well?

What they are checking: Practical lab awareness, which this posting says is part of the job.
