whether the candidate can assess learning readiness and adjust teaching pace instead of just delivering content

A patient's blood glucose logs show a pattern that doesn't match what they're telling you about their diet and medication adherence. How do you handle that conversation?

skill in nonjudgmental communication and motivational interviewing without damaging trust

If you were adjusting a patient's diabetes medication under a provider's protocol, what would make you stop and call the provider instead of proceeding on your own?

understanding of scope of practice and when protocol-based authority ends
