About your past

Tell me about a site that was falling behind on enrollment or data entry. How did you get it back on track?

What they are checking: Whether they can motivate busy site staff through support and clear plans instead of only sending reminder emails.

What they are checking: Whether they have the careful eye for detail that keeps a study's data defensible to regulators.

What would you do

You find that a site enrolled two subjects who did not meet inclusion criteria. What do you do?

You are traveling to several sites at once and two need urgent attention the same week. How do you decide?

About the work

Diagnostic device studies often differ from drug trials. How would you explain the differences in what you monitor?

What they are checking: Whether they understand specimen handling, performance endpoints and device regulations, not just drug trial habits.

What do Good Clinical Practice and informed consent requirements mean for you day to day on site?

What they are checking: Whether they treat GCP as concrete daily checks on consent, data and safety rather than a training certificate.

How do you handle specimen chain of custody and sample integrity issues in a diagnostic study?

What they are checking: Whether they know that a mishandled sample can invalidate study results and how to track and protect samples.

What do you know about FDA requirements for diagnostic studies, such as IDE rules or 510(k) and PMA submissions?

What they are checking: Whether they understand how their monitoring work feeds into the regulatory submission that gets a test cleared.

How do you keep trial master file and site documents inspection ready?

What they are checking: Whether they keep records current as they go, so an audit never turns into a scramble.
