Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

How do you work with nurses, pharmacists and administrators rather than only the prescriber?

What they are checking: Whether they work the whole account, including nurses, pharmacists and administrators, since treatment decisions involve far more than one physician.

Tell me about a territory that was underperforming when you took it. What did you actually change?

What they are checking: Whether they have turned around a weak territory through their own actions, rather than benefiting from strong results they inherited.

What would you do

This territory covers Milwaukee, Oshkosh and Waukesha and is field based, so you'd need to live within a reasonable distance of Milwaukee. Where are you now?

What they are checking: Whether they live within reach of a Milwaukee-based field territory, since the role depends on regular in-person account visits.

Where's the line between what you can discuss about a product and what you can't?

What they are checking: Whether they clearly understand promotional compliance rules, because off-label discussion carries serious legal risk for them and the company.

The role requires driving a personal or company vehicle, a valid license, a pre-employment drug screen and regular air and car travel. Does all of that work for you?

What they are checking: Whether the driving, travel and screening requirements genuinely work for them, so there are no surprises after an offer.

About the work

The posting requires oncology or hematology sales experience, preferably in multiple myeloma. Walk me through your experience in that disease area.

What they are checking: Whether they have real oncology or hematology selling experience, ideally in myeloma, which the posting lists as a firm requirement.

How do you build a territory business plan, and how often do you actually change it?

What they are checking: Planning as a working tool rather than an annual document

Walk me through a scientific conversation you'd have with a hematologist who is skeptical of your data.

What they are checking: Clinical depth and the ability to hold a conversation with a specialist

How do you use territory data and analytics to decide where to spend your week?

What they are checking: Whether they use territory data to prioritize their week, focusing time where it will help the most patients and accounts.

You'd need to meet healthcare industry representative credentialing to get into accounts. Are you currently credentialed anywhere, and is there anything that would make that difficult?

What they are checking: Whether they can meet hospital credentialing requirements, since without credentials they cannot enter the accounts this role depends on.
