Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a network or transportation strategy you built that was actually implemented. What changed as a result?

What they are checking: Whether their strategy work turns into real results rather than slide decks.

Tell me about a time you had to work hard and independently to deliver under a tight deadline.

What they are checking: The strong work ethic and self-direction the posting explicitly asks for in a remote role.

How do you present a network strategy to executives so they can make a decision in one meeting?

What they are checking: Turning complex analysis into a clear choice with tradeoffs leaders can act on.

What would you do

Your analysis says consolidating two sites saves money, but the business leaders who use them oppose it. What do you do?

What they are checking: Moving a sound recommendation forward with stakeholders who have real concerns.

A major carrier suddenly raises rates or drops a lane. How do you respond in the short and long term?

What they are checking: Handling disruption calmly while using it to rethink the network where needed.

About the work

How would you go about designing a logistics network for an aerospace and defense business with many plants and suppliers?

What they are checking: A structured approach to network design that weighs cost, service and risk together.

What data would you need to model whether a distribution center should be added, closed or moved?

What they are checking: Knowing which inputs actually drive network decisions and where that data is usually weak.

This role requires a U.S. Person. How do export controls like ITAR affect how you route and store defense goods?

What they are checking: Awareness that compliance rules shape logistics choices, not just freight rates.

How do you build resilience into a network without paying for redundancy everywhere?

What they are checking: Judgment about where disruption risk is high enough to justify extra cost.

What tools have you used for network modeling or optimization, and what are their limits?

What they are checking: Hands-on tool experience plus the sense to question what a model outputs.
