Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a transformation program you led where people resisted the change. What did you do?

What they are checking: Real change management experience, including how they handled skeptics rather than working around them.

You are the liaison between Commercial Finance and Corporate. Describe a time you had to align two groups with different priorities.

What they are checking: Influence without authority, since this role must drive enterprise initiatives it does not own.

Tell me about a standard operating procedure you wrote or rolled out. How did you get people to actually follow it?

What they are checking: Whether they know that adoption, not documentation, is the hard part of standardization.

The posting mentions supporting a culture club workstream. What have you done to improve team spirit in a finance group, and how did you know it helped?

What they are checking: Whether they take culture work seriously and can describe something concrete, not just events on a calendar.

What would you do

What does a finance transformation actually need to change to stick, beyond new tools?

What they are checking: Whether they understand that process, behavior and culture decide success more than the technology does.

Finance Future Fit runs under the themes of Process, Tools, Business Partnership and People Experience. How would you keep four workstreams moving without one starving the others?

What they are checking: Portfolio thinking and the ability to balance attention across workstreams that compete for the same people.

A project plan is slipping because a key finance team keeps pulling people back to close activities. How do you respond?

What they are checking: Realism about finance calendars and the ability to replan around close rather than fight it.

How would you communicate a transformation roadmap to analysts who worry it means their jobs will change?

What they are checking: Honest, steady communication that addresses real concerns instead of glossing over them.

About the work

How would you set up data structure and governance before rolling out a new data visualization tool?

What they are checking: Whether they know dashboards built on ungoverned data lose trust fast and set the program back.

How do you measure whether a finance transformation is working?

What they are checking: Whether they define concrete outcome measures up front rather than reporting activity as progress.
