Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about a time you found a workflow problem while training users. What did you do with it?

What they are checking: Whether they feed real-world issues back into workflow design and system build instead of only teaching around them.

How do you measure whether your training actually worked?

What they are checking: Whether they look at real outcomes like fewer tickets or errors, not just attendance.

Tell me about a time you mentored another trainer on presentation or facilitation skills.

What they are checking: Whether they can help peers improve, which this role expects beyond their own classes.

What would you do

A physician in your class is impatient and says this training is a waste of time. How do you handle it?

What they are checking: Whether they can keep a skeptical, busy clinician engaged by making the session relevant to them.

How do you train someone remotely when you can't see what they're doing?

What they are checking: Whether they can adapt delivery to remote support and still confirm the learner understands.

An upgrade goes live in two weeks and hundreds of users need training. How would you plan it?

What they are checking: Whether they can scale training through scheduling, tip sheets and super users under a deadline.

About the work

Walk me through how you'd design a course for nurses learning a new piece of an EHR application.

What they are checking: Whether they apply adult learning principles and build training around real workflows, not just screens.

How do you build and maintain a training environment so it stays in sync with the live system?

What they are checking: Whether they understand that a stale training build teaches the wrong steps and erodes trust.

You get a service desk ticket from a user who is stuck mid-task. How do you triage and document it?

What they are checking: Whether they can resolve or route tickets cleanly and leave notes others can follow.

How do you keep training records accurate in a learning management system?

What they are checking: Whether they keep required training documentation reliable, since access often depends on it.
