What they are checking: Whether they own the data inside the system, which this role is explicitly responsible for.
Tell me about a system modification you recommended that improved productivity. How did you prove it worked?

About the work
A business area wants to change a process the system supports. How do you work out what that change will do to the system and its data?
What they are checking: Impact analysis skill, since small process changes often ripple into data, reports and interfaces nobody mentioned.
How do you monitor an application's performance and accessibility so you catch problems before users report them?
What they are checking: Whether they are proactive about application health or only react to tickets.
In a regulated pharma company, what does it mean to you to stay compliant with corporate and divisional policies when making a system change?
What they are checking: Awareness that validated systems need documented, controlled changes and that shortcuts create audit risk.
