Likely interview questions for this role

Written from this job description, not a generic list. Each one notes what the interviewer is really checking.

About your past

Tell me about an AI or data project you delivered from contract to production.

What they are checking: Whether they have seen the whole lifecycle, not just strategy decks or just engineering.

Tell me about a time you worked with an account team to expand a client relationship.

What they are checking: Whether they collaborate with account leaders instead of competing with them for the client.

Tell me about an AI project that didn't deliver what was promised. What did you learn?

What they are checking: Whether they are honest about failure and have changed how they set expectations.

What would you do

You'd lead AI Factory opportunities from qualification through follow-on. How do you decide whether an AI opportunity is worth pursuing?

What they are checking: Whether they qualify deals on data readiness, sponsor strength and clear value rather than chasing every lead.

Walk me through how you'd shape a scope for a client who says they want to use AI but can't say for what.

What they are checking: Whether they can guide a vague interest into a defined, achievable first project.

How do you work with AI architects and engineers to make sure what you sell can actually be built?

What they are checking: Whether they involve technical experts early so the scope is realistic and the team trusts them.

A project is halfway done and the client wants to add three new use cases without changing the budget. What do you do?

What they are checking: Whether they handle scope change firmly and turn it into a follow-on opportunity instead of absorbing losses.

About the work

How do you write a proposal and statement of work for AI delivery when outcomes are uncertain?

What they are checking: Whether they structure phases, assumptions and success criteria to protect both the client and the firm.

How do you explain the difference between a proof of concept and a production AI solution to a client?

What they are checking: Whether they understand the work of security, monitoring and integration that separates a demo from a real system.

What do you watch to know whether an AI engagement is healthy?

What they are checking: Whether they track delivery, margin, client satisfaction and adoption, not only milestones.

How do you keep up with how fast AI tools are changing, and how does that affect what you recommend?

What they are checking: Whether they stay current and design solutions that will not be outdated by the time they launch.
