You see an experienced worker skip a lockout step. They have done it this way for years. What do you do?

How would you build trust with production employees who see EHS as the people who slow them down?

About the work

What they are checking: Whether they know how to break a task into steps and find hazards before someone gets hurt.

What is the hierarchy of controls, and why does PPE sit at the bottom?

What they are checking: Whether they understand that removing a hazard beats asking people to protect themselves from it.

What OSHA or EPA rules do you think matter most at a large manufacturing plant?

How would you investigate a near-miss so it leads to a real fix and not just a report?

What they are checking: Whether they look for root causes and system fixes instead of blaming the worker.

What environmental issues do you think a heavy equipment manufacturer has to manage?

What they are checking: Whether they think beyond safety to air, water, waste and permits.
